I have one of those one blades things and they are supposed to last 6 months. I've had it over a year but I usually don't shave in the winter.

Very rarely, but then I get a shave with my haircut and then unless Im going out somewhere it just grows for the month (maybe the odd shape up)

I have one of those razors that can last a while before new blade is inserted into them.

also use the throw away ones and there thrown per shave.

If you are using a disposable razor (of any kind), you can polish the blades and get extended life from them for months and months. It is similar to polishing an old cut throat.

You use a towel over a radiator that's reasonably taut, tun the razor over so the blades are pointing away - flat toward the towel and stroke downward, 10 or so times. This takes off the micro scuffs, chips and rust that you get from shaving or water in the bathroom.

It'll save you a fortune, it'll give you a better shave... and it'll stop you throwing so many blades away unnecessarily. Try and keep you blades as dry as you can in between shaves too.

You can see the guy here pushing the blade here along denim - going down a towel is just as good.

I realise leg hair is different to facial hair but a decent shaving cream might help. I have been doing this with my straight edge razor for years - it does work. The cost saving is remote as you simply get a better shave.
