What is your favourite World Cup memory from years gone by, Was it an amazing goal, a special player you loved or anything else you want to share.

Johan Cruyff's turn in the 74 world cup for me.

Also not at a world cup but Colombian goalkeeper Rene Higuita's scorpion kick save against England in a friendly at Wembley

Somewhere In The Ether…

Roger Miller from the Cameroon squad and their awesome run in the 1990 World Cup. Remember his famous corner flag celebration dance?

A few for me...

Pele in 1970 for his misses

Banks in 1970 for that save

Carlos Alberto goal in the 1970 final

And, basically everything Cruyff did in 1974.

Diego Simeone the little twat!! I'm still adamant Sol Campbell's disallowed goal was legit as well.

My first WC was '86 so Robbo getting injured, Lineker's hat-trick and Ray Wilkins' sending off are very vivid memories.

1990 - Gazza's tears, Waddle's penalty, Roger Milla, the Cameroonians kicking the shit out of the Argies , Toto Schillacci.

1994 - Forgettable!! (Baggio's missed penalty apart)

2006 - Ronaldo the Winker, Rooney never being fit when he'd have taken the tournament by storm.

in the night garden

That daft twat from Zaire during a Brazilian free kick sprinting from his position in the wall and lamping the ball into row Z.

What a tool!

Just imagine, no one under the age of 25 is gonna remember seeing Scotland at a World cup, that's like a whole generation.

For me it’s got to be the World Cup Semi-Final vs W Germany in Italia 90. We hit the post in extra time when we should have won that game, eventually of course losing the penalty shoot out.

I’m absolutely convinced to this day (as I was then) had we won that shoot out we would have won the Final with ease (not that we’ll ever know!).

It still hurts watching that game back now
