So she's put on a bit of weight, as most of us do eventually, and a particularly unflattering picture has resulted in a whole host of negative comments and trolling.

This is disgusting behaviour and totally uncalled for. She's still a good looking woman.

So if you didn't consider her a good looking womam would the comments be justified?

Really? What kind of question is that? Of course not, there's no excuse for this kind of behaviour.

So why mention it? The comments are disgusting. But so is the implication that as she's attractive she doesn't deserve them. No one deserves them.

The implication is very much in your own mind.

The media and trolls up to their usual witch hunt of anyone who doesn’t match their idea of perfection.

Bunch of sad fucks.

Ah. Yet another media having not only the temerity to judge a woman on her looks, but to therefore judge the person on these looks.

And to do so publicly.

In order to make £.

So, so classy..

Which platform/magazine, etc.

I imagine there was a good chance the 'article' was written by woman too? And the target audience was mostly women?

Even classier..

That's a point.

That said, it's very clear the Op wasn't intending on making that implication.

Many have in past similar cases though.

Surely this is only disgusting behaviour because you like the woman!? This goes on daily to many famous women

Just to make it clear. This applies to all women in all circumstances, i was merely using Charlie Dimmock as a recent example.

Furthermore i used the phrase 'she's still a good looking woman' because i thought she was hot when she first came on to our screens and that hasn't changed for me despite the additional years and pounds.

I wrote this as a positive post for Ms Dimmock and all who suffer as a result of trolling, must i really have to explain myself?

Why judge her on her looks rather than, say, talent?

Do men get judged the same way?

Dear God,

She's 51. Groundforce was 20 years ago .....

She's lived and worked hard.

So she's sitting down and enjoying her food ........ big deal. She's probably still very fit in both senses of the word.

Pretty standard for many women who don’t age as well as the media think they should, or put on weight. Men get off much lighter...
