Do you lie?

I mean with regards to replies you send people on swingers sites.

I do!!!!!

Before you all jump on me, let me explain.

We ( like most people) messages from people who we do not want to play with. We always try to respond unless the message was rude or goes right against something we have stated in our profile.

Now usually we just say something along the lines of “ thanks but no thanks”, but have occasionally been contacted by couples who seem to be a bit sensitive with regards to their constant rejections.

I have found myself ( on another site not here – yet ;lol) sending replies that “we would have loved to meet them, but alas are having a break right now” in order to make them feel better about the rejection.

It has now bit us on the bum.

We received a message from one such couple stating that they noticed we hadrenewed our advert, so must be looking to play again, and when do we want to arrange something!!

Eeeek

I think the truth from now on lol

LOL - you've been sussed! I usually say 'I don't think we're just what you're looking for' if I think they may be upset by a blunt no thanks - I never want to hurt any ones feelings.

Yes that's what I say too - 'thanks for your message but not what I'm looking for.

After reading some of the forum threads about people whinging because they don't get replied to, I have now added a line on my profile saying 'if I do not reply to your message, please assume that I am not interested' hoping that the ones who have actually read my profile will see it

You could try saying, "Well, we are going on safari to Africa in a few months time and it would be nice to get some big game hunting practice in. When are you free?"

That'll put em off hehehe

and if they reply we ignore and delete...

and if they continue to reply....

Not saying lying is good but there seems to be two types of lies, those that you tell to protect others, and those you tell to protect yourself, the latter of course often being the worse lie
