.

Yes, A more detailed one,

If you're looking to meet a certain type of person, You wouldn't have to use it if you didn't want to

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

No. How would it really work? Age filters mean people lie about their age.

There's no agreed descriptor, let alone perception, about different body types on here. I'm fat but some tell me I'm not fat enough to use that term, or I'm curvaceous or whatever. Don't get me started on 'athletic'...

They could use an auto bodytype selection algorithm, that will put people in the correct bodytype.

What filters would you use?

The words we have now are open to interpretation already. Dress sizes aren't that much better, a 5ft size 14 is not at all like a 5ft10 size 14.

"Bodytype filter. Should fab have one? "

Yes. People often aren't honest about age, location, height, marital status or body type etc. It's still nice to be able to search though.

That's why it needs to be more detailed then the one they have now in my opinion, Maybe a basic body image that you can alter yourself that best describes you, Like I said you could still use the one they have now, I know I would be filtered out by a lot of people but It would help me if/when I done the searching myself

Dress size is irrelevant really. Bodytype goes on the amount of fat you have. If you have abs you're athletic, if you don't but still flat then you're average, curvy is interpreted as chubby on here, but it should be on the ample scale.

People just can't be true to themselves.

Yes you're a person. But if you belong on the larger scale then it would stop you from choosing curvy. Curvy is not even a scale of fatness. Its an hourglass figure that is skinny.

This system would work by scanning an image and then placing, it into the relevant bodytype.

There...

Some people have a type. Some don’t. Most will choose on a mix of personality and instant attraction from a photo. It’s a simple formula that’s been around for years. Why complicate something that doesn’t need fixing? If you don’t believe the body type chosen because of the photos on show then move on. You really are a glutton for punishment OP...

"Tell you what they should have is a bloody whinger filter

Think a sarcasm filter would be better. Just get all of the irrelevant comments off the forums. "

Yes, cause that would make the forums so much fun wouldn’t it.

"What filters would you use?

The words we have now are open to interpretation already. Dress sizes aren't that much better, a 5ft size 14 is not at all like a 5ft10 size 14.

Dress size is irrelevant really. Bodytype goes on the amount of fat you have. If you have abs you're athletic, if you don't but still flat then you're average, curvy is interpreted as chubby on here, but it should be on the ample scale.

People just can't be true to themselves.

Do you think you’re being true to yourself on your body type?

I have abs. Do I not?

Only just. I’d say average from your pictures. Body types and what you feel you are, are very much down to interpretation. "

I don't fit an average bodytype. Average means no definition at all. And I have plenty. I think I'm one of the maybe 25% that actually tells the truth.

Curvy is ample?

No. Curvy is an hourglass figure. Ample is someone looking like they have a motorbike tire to put it bluntly.

But you can have an hourglass figure that is slim or ample, an hourglass describes a body that goes in at the waist.

Your point?

If you can't see the hourglass then whats the point?

And a fat ass doesn't count. "

My point is it's impossible to categorise bodies. You said curvy is an hourglass figure yet a slim lady can have that shape as can a larger lady. So both are curvy if hourglass is the definition?

"No.

So we enter our height and weight?

I'd rather not be classified. I'm a person not a type.

Yes you're a person. But if you belong on the larger scale then it would stop you from choosing curvy. Curvy is not even a scale of fatness. Its an hourglass figure that is skinny.

This system would work by scanning an image and then placing, it into the relevant bodytype.

I’m curvy. I don’t have an hourglass figure that is skinny. "

I'm really trying not to sound like a dick here. But your fat and your fat ass makes you curvy. I really tried not to be a cunt.

how about a weight and height filter.

I think as others have said though, it's not always accurate. Some people consider themselves average and are very heavy and very fat, others are very slender. There are people that show as athletic, some look like middle distance runners, some like old school rugby players.

Overall though, I think the filters could be a good thing

No, we’re trying to tell you what the issue is with interpreting a body type. I see women put themselves as a BBW. They’re actually probably a 16/18. That isn’t a BBW to me. However, that’s how they see themselves.

People just can't be true to themselves.

Do you think you’re being true to yourself on your body type?

I have abs. Do I not?

Only just. I’d say average from your pictures. Body types and what you feel you are, are very much down to interpretation.

I don't fit an average bodytype. Average means no definition at all. And I have plenty. I think I'm one of the maybe 25% that actually tells the truth.

You're telling the truth based on your own interpretation of your body. Others have just proven they don't agree with you. Most people on the site have done the same.

People are trying to body shame me because they know I'm right about them. "

"Would it not be easier just to look at the pictures"

This is the best way really, maybe just make in mandatory that you have to have a picture on the system that shows your body.

"No.

But bodies look different shapes and sizes in each pic?

That all comes down to angles. A full front or side pic would tell the truth.

Seems an awful lot of effort just to get put into a box.

You wouldn't have to. The program would do it automatically.

I'd have to take the pics?

It would just scan the pics you add as you normally would. But instead of you chosing the body type. It would still go through its screening process but it would, just have an extra part to it. "

"how about a weight and height filter.

I think as others have said though, it's not always accurate. Some people consider themselves average and are very heavy and very fat, others are very slender. There are people that show as athletic, some look like middle distance runners, some like old school rugby players.

Overall though, I think the filters could be a good thing "

None of them reply to you anyway apparently. So how will it help?

I understand your point and your reasoning but people can easily edit their pictures to make themselves look thinner, more athletic, curvier etc. And it can have a negative affect on people - for example, you think you’re athletic, but what if the system disagrees and thinks you’re skinny or average. Will you fight the system? Will you complain? How would this work?

People just can't be true to themselves.

Power lifters don't have abs but they're athletic .

No they aren't. How is a fat gut athletic?

I'd love to see you outmove, outlift and outswim Eddie Hall. He has he resting heart rate of an extreme endurance athlete.

You would be shocked to see how incredibly fit these guys actually are.

He'd still tell them they're wrong because their body fat is higher that 10%

I remember when i was a young boy. God i knew it all and then i realised i knew feckkkkkkk all"

We are not talking about physical ability. We are talking about physical look. If this is too complex go do some research.

No. Because it would see that I have some abs. Granted you can't slide something between them yet. But they are still there. I am skinny yes. But I would be skinny athletic.

I have curves, big boobs, a saggy tum, a mid-forties wobble to the hips, skinny arms, good cheek bones, a passable arse and damned fine pins. That’s a shiz load of body type filters.

Body type is largely irrelevant if all you do is sit with some electronic device in your hand rather than meeting real (sometimes a tad wobbly) people.

No. Curvy is an hourglass figure. Ample is someone looking like they have a motorbike tire to put it bluntly.

Or a few motorbike tyres.

"No.

Ok ignoring the ethical problems with this for a second, speaking as a programmer myself, this would be such a hard program to create and efficiently.

I personally feel that it would not be worth the time and effort that it would take to create a program that won't have much affect on the overall site. And not only that but people can just use angles and lighting to alter what their bodies look like in photos, heck I do it myself

Okay, having thought about this for a few minutes and read the comments, perhaps if you were to have these filters, you could tick the box of what body type you are the closest to, there could be 4 or 5 body types per gender, there could be pictures pre set on the system that you match yourself too. This way it removes the interpretation.

"Some people have a type. Some don’t. Most will choose on a mix of personality and instant attraction from a photo. It’s a simple formula that’s been around for years. Why complicate something that doesn’t need fixing? If you don’t believe the body type chosen because of the photos on show then move on. You really are a glutton for punishment OP...

If I want to only see an athletic to average look then that would narrow down my search. Instead of having to look through people I don't find attractive.

It appears (from this and the numerous others you’ve posted on) that you’d like your ideal women to be handed to you on a plate without having to put in any effort. Fab is very indicative of real life: effort in = rewards. Where’s the pleasure in having made no effort for everything?

Its just about making it more user friendly. I'm not attracted to fat people. Why should I look through 50 fat people to find 1 average or athletic person?

Why is it such a chore? Chill out, relax, have a browse around and see who takes your fancy. If you filter too much there will be no one left.

You should have seen his other threads

I have! That's why I said chill out! I thought fab was meant to be fun!

So did i . Op you cant be going on about sizes and stuff . Some People are very concouse when it comes too this .... like me .. I'm skinny as fuck and hate my body .. I shouldn't be categorised

Then do something about it like I am. Everyone is categorised by everyone. Walking down the street everyone does it. "

It’s not as easy as just doing something about it. My husband is my height (5’8), has a high protein diet, goes to the gym and does boxing. And he’s barely 8 stone. He’s just naturally skinny. No matter how much he eats, he will stay extremely skinny

"Fucking hell OP, you've changed since this morning!!

I'd like a height filter ideally. Lots of shorties message me who clearly haven't read my profile, it's most annoying.

I can make my own mind up about the body type from pics.

Shame your other thread has closed.

And why is that? "

Because I'm sure there are people that could give you a bit more advice after reading this!!

"Yes, a lot of these so called athletic young men look like skinny pups to me, compared to what I find an attractive sort of athletic man........ Of course it's all in the interpretation of a word anyway isn't it, so why don't we take pictures and put them up so people can see if they like what they see whatever we call it.........oh but wait.....!!! "

"Okay, having thought about this for a few minutes and read the comments, perhaps if you were to have these filters, you could tick the box of what body type you are the closest to, there could be 4 or 5 body types per gender, there could be pictures pre set on the system that you match yourself too. This way it removes the interpretation."

That is a great system that many many will lie about. A girl with extra fat will look in the mirror and say shes kylie jenner.

I never started this to argue. Anyone else could have made a thread like this and people would be chill. But its the same in any thread I make. "

Anyone that mentions body size gets jumped on.

But yes the certain few do love to wind you up and criticise you for things that they do all the time. Don't take it personally. See them for what they are.

But I had this argument just the other day. I see myself as much larger than I am so I wouldn't be selecting the right picture.

"No.

Ok ignoring the ethical problems with this for a second, speaking as a programmer myself, this would be such a hard program to create and efficiently.

I personally feel that it would not be worth the time and effort that it would take to create a program that won't have much affect on the overall site. And not only that but people can just use angles and lighting to alter what their bodies look like in photos, heck I do it myself "

Yup, all those 5.5" average willies made to look VWE by the extreme camera angle!!

I don't understand this argument at all. You must know whether you are small / average/ large?
