Memory Lane

Who here enjoys taking a trip down Memory Lane on by going to places where we used to go to when we were kids?

Once or twice a month, I would have a look around Walkden and remember where some places used to be many years ago including a Blockbuster Video that is long gone now. After that, I would then get the bus to Farnworth, do the same there while having a look around and then finally go to the street I grew up in and walk past my old house before heading home.

Yes I often take my Raleigh Chopper to Woolworths and get some pick and mix before getting home and then playing on my ZX Spectrum.

I did yesterday. I got the Metrolink into town from a station I used to knock around near. The lane up to it, I hadn’t walked/ran up it since I was much much younger.

I took ads and the kids on a whistle stop tour last year from where I went to school, first houses before kids came along etc, was nice to show them.

Occasionally I walk along the riverbank that I used to regularly walk along on a Saturday when I was 14 or 15 with my friends and go and snog boys under the m23 bridge!

I went to a Shropshire town yesterday, last visited when I was 9 or 10, in an artistic jaunt sketching buildings - they seem so much smaller now.

I try not too now... although a lot of memories are with me... no point living in the past.. so i keep looking forward!
