Falkirk

We are moving back to the UK soon and the new house has the fibre optic cable running outside it.

Before we moved to Spain we had Sky for years which I was quite happy with.

Now we have the option of three different providers Sky, Virgin and BT.

So what's peoples opinions?

"Avoid Virgin at all costs!!!!"

That's what's coming recommended.

Why are they bad?

Virgin have been a right pain in the arse recently. The past few weeks have been bad for service and I seem to be forever getting told an engineer is working on it.

oh they’re fine if it’s all working, but if there’s a fault, be prepared to deal with the worst customer service you’ll ever encounter.

Yeah so everything goes off. It's a fault in the area not just mine which I appreciate makes it harder to fix but if you're paying for a service you expect to receive it or be compensated.

Sky does fibre broadband now.

Anyone have that.

I do prefer Sky however would like to see the options.

Does Sky still use BT for the fibre optic lines?

The last package we had required BT line rental.

mate of mine has Sky fibre, and yes it does piggyback BTs cable so a line rental fee is paid.

near Reading

Got Virgin tv, broadband and phone. Have only had one issue and that was an network issue that was fixed in about 2hrs and got a full day credit.

When I called to join sky(to lower my costs) they lowered price for me to stay.

Virgin been great for us! Even with issues, maybe it depends on the area you’re in?
