When I feel a bit lonely, I think about the possibility of having a family and not even getting a minute to pee, and so I’m savouring my alone time!

I'm glad of almost enough personal time that I have and am comfortable single or in a relationship. It's easy enough to spend time with friends doing most things that I'd do with partners - partners aren't any special, exclusive sources of companionship, just sometimes different.

It does feels shit sometimes OP especially when all you want is some company and a snog but plenty of downsides to relationships.

My neighbours row pretty much constantly, she's always screeching. Really no idea why they're together. Would rather be alone than deal with unnecessary drama

No need to apologise OP but you should maybe try being pro active in the 'real world'. Fab can be a difficult place to be if you're feeling lonely/low/unhappy.

Make some plans to meet friends or find a hobby that entails you getting out and about wirth others.

I completely agree!! A few years ago I used fab to try and find what I was missing in my life which was a big mistake!! I have since made massive changes to my life and it’s not always easy and yes sometimes I do get lonely... but on the whole now I am happy.... it is true happiness comes from within... as corny as it sounds... fab can make you feel even worse sometimes!! Fab now is here to just compliment my own life and is no longer a substitute!!

The feeling will pass... sometimes you just have to go with it!!

Sending big squishy huggles!!!

It can also be a very dangerous thing, depending what you are reflecting upon.

Hey OP, been lonely in the past, it's kind of like depression, spirals in on you and makes you more lonely / depressed.

The worst thing you can say to someone in that spiral is "pull yourself together, and find a solution" but ironically the only thing that will stop the problem is to pull yourself together , and find a solution.

Fight the loneliness, get out with people and get involved, something physical is always good. But it's the conversation no matter how limited that makes you better. Which sometimes takes a false bravado to get the party started.

Hope you find your surface soon. Loneliness can be a bitch.

I get the occasional twinge of loneliness, usually on nights when I can't sleep.

I just cuddle my teddy bear, have a little cry, remind myself how suffocating relationships can be and I feel much better.
