"I'll have to Google them first to jog my memory. Brb." All I learned from Googling is that I only watched one horror film of 2017, and that was Alien Covenant. I wouldn't have put that in the horror genre myself.

"I know that we're half way through 2018 but I thought I'd ask, what horror movie of 2017 do you think was the best? For me, it would have to be IT. It was such a great horror movie and an amazing adaptation of the book. Bill Skarsgard's take on Pennywise was brilliantly well done and sure gave the character a lot of fear factor." I'm guessing we're using the term "horror" very loosely here. The people in the cinema I went to we're laughing more than jumping

"I really enjoyed IT as well (Bill Skarsgaard ) but I know it's a love it or hate it film. Get Out was also really good, was it 2017? Watching this closely as I'm looking for a good one I've not seen! " Get Out was definitely 2017. What I liked about IT was that it was a recent horror movie that didn't revolve around annoying pointless jump scares like many modern horror movies do these days plus the antagonist was not some psychopathic serial killer or a ghost/demon.

IT does have some funny moments but some of the scenes were pretty tense and horrifying especially when we see what happens to Georgie.

" The beginning with Georgie and the acting of IT we're brilliant. But I was disappointed with the film. I am very fickle when it comes t horror movies though

"I must admit that I went into the new It fearing the worst (and was highly prejudiced being a huge fan of Tim Curry’s performance in the role originally). However.....I was hugely, pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the new version and thought that Bill gave a superb, very different portrayal as Pennywise. I’m looking forward to part 2 " What I loved in IT was the awesome climatic battle between the losers club and Pennywise starting with the most badass line in the movie "WELCOME TO THE LOSERS CLUB ASSHOLE!!"

"Don’t breathe was a pretty intense thriller/horror Get out - brilliant Annabelle creation... ok? Lights out - few jumps eek!" Don't Breathe was great, no spoilers but there was that one moment that gave me the absolute heave. You know the one

Closest I've come to a scary film is Conjuring 2. Brilliant to watch in the cinema
