Do you take the crusts off?

Whats your favourite filling?

Indeed and better for you, but if I want to taste the filling rather than the bread, I go for white!

If I was having pate or tuna, then granary, warburtons or hovis with seeds!

It's a bit like faggots really but it's like the shape of a small brick. You used to be able to get it in old style butchers / cooked meat shops.

I only used to like the crusty bit on top.

It rather depends on the filling as to which way I cut them, but always have the crusts on.

Tuna, salmon, egg mayo, prawn I'd cut corner to corner

ham, chicken cheese salad I cut stright in half

chips or jam I make into a butty - just folded in half and scoffed

...and my all time favourite - strawberry jam and crumbly Lasncashire cheese just has to go on a flour cake

(a bit like an oven bottom barm but floury....and very doughy and yummy

I love French bread! Real, French bread! Not that crap you get in the UK! All made from the same dough and just shaped differently! Had a barny with a baker in Waitrose about three years ago! They advertised French loaves and they were just standard dough shaped into "Du Pain"!

Sarnies? Sort of corner to corner but leaving two right angles on the bottom part and the whole top crust on the other! Fillings? Peanut butter and Marmite together.. Jam, Cheese, Jam and Cheese, Corned Beef, Banana, Steak on "proper" home made bread....

Fookin hell, it's lunch time.. Hmmmm... What to have.... I know, soup with tonnes of bread & butter...
