I have some and can walk in them, but not far. You can walk in them it just depends which you buy. The cheaper ones like Demonia or ones from eBay do not give you enough ankle support, also I suspect the metal rods in the heels are not made to be walked in, also there are no ballet toe protectors, but you can buy these from dance shops. If you want some you can walk in Google punitiveshoes. They are quite pricey though. Let us know how you get on.

They are not as uncomfortable as you think. If you relax your foot it normally points rather than stays at a right angle, so sitting or laying down in ballet boots on is quite comfy. What can be painful is the pressure on your toes and ankles standing up! I can only manage about 5 or 6 steps without doing a face plant haha
