That depends entirely on how bad the ‘bite’ was

I guess that it would depend on who they were - and how well you knew them.

I tend to work on the theory if they've done it once they are likely to do it again.

I've never arranged a meet and not turned up - and would expect others to value a meet or whatever just the same.

Traffic land

I used to give chances, it took me far too long to work out that it rarely worked out well for me. So now, if you hurt me, that’s it, I cut you off, much easier to deal with.

depending on the situation, people deserve at least one second-chance, but if they are known to letting people down then no

Depends who and what. I give people I care about second chances, but I can be ruthless with those who have not yet earned my loyalty.

I give second chances but it doesn't mean I trust them. It takes alot to earn my trust and you've got be someone pretty special. My gut feelings always give me a pretty good kicking..

I do give second chances (probably thirds and fourths too) to the ones I love. There will be consequences though

People on here? Probably, if I like them enough.

Hiding in the shadows

I'm probably guilty of giving people too many chances, forgiving or ignoring little things. Occasionally things that actually offended me because I cared too deeply for that person.

But I can also totaly cold hearted at times, I'll cut people out my life completely without a second thought once a line has been crossed.

And depends on the sincerity of the person who hurt you too.

"We need to keep our self respect. "

That as well

You need to find a balanced between what the person had done to you, his/her sincerity in being sorry for it and your pride.

Pride can be a good thing but a bad thing as well.

Central

It depends on what has happened - I will certainly express my feelings and opinion and possibly negotiate.

This may be about me and not them, to an extent - is it my stuff or truly just because someone has been disrespectful to me. I'm inclined towards not giving second chances too readily.

It's most important that you don't walk away carrying scars that haven't heeled, so that you repeat any mistakes of choices or your own involvement making something wrong for you imo
