When describing yourself how honest are you?

Ive seen a couple of profiles this morning where the pics really don't match what they have said about themselves....

Is there anything visually about you that you keep to yourself?

I have realised Ive not mentioned that I have more chins than a Chinese phone book so Im off to our profile to remedy this now

When I look in the mirror, I see wrinkles around my eyes that were never there, a receding hairline, and big ears.....I notice all that and you will too if your able to get past my pale pasty skin.

Im talking about profiles that dont even match their pictures... people looking way older or younger than their stated age, describing themselves as one thing but clearly not displaying that in their pics...

( one profile I looked at had a picture uploaded in 2012 where he looks about 55-60 yet his profile age is 48 now! Thats got to be some tough paperround as a kid to age him that much!

I reckon I’m pretty honest on my profile. I even have my dress size on there. I think we all edit ourselves a little bit and try to take our best pictures. Not sure I’d put a side view/sat down picture on though - no one wants to see that!

What ? You are missing the best part of the site!!! Hours and hours of entertainment to be had going from profile to profile, reading verifications, perving their pics... its worth every penny of the premium membership fee

My age is real and you'll all see me level up during the course of next month, I describe myself as curvy because I go in and out at the hips and I've got an arse so I believe my profile description added with my pictures are pretty accurate, although monthly my hair is getting lighter as I've been doing the transition from almost black hair to medium brown base with cream and ice blonde balayage and gradually taken highlight closer to the root, it's to try and combat and disguise my rapidly growing white wizard hair.

I get recognised so yeah, my pics are accurate. I've not bothered with clothes size coz that easily changes depending on what I've had to eat and if I've had a big shit or not. Could be a size 8-10 on Monday, eat, bloat and be a 10-12 on Tuesday.... but even that's subjective depending on what shop the clothes have come from.

I’m as honest as I’m willing to be on a sex site surrounded by strangers. I don’t describe myself physically because it’s not really my thing. I’m honest about age and height and I describe myself as ample which some will agree with and some won’t. Honesty is essential and of course, your pics should be recent and representative.

Remember also, that a Profile is essentially an advert for that person - so don’t expect to see a list of negative points about them!

Ours is all true as we only want to meet people who actually like us for who we are. Did think about making ourselves younger but decided to just be honest.

I do choose pics that show me in the best light though. If I used some of my rejected pics it. It could be whole different story!! Lol

People are surprised I’m not in black and white!

I like to think I portray the real me in my profile and pics...although I have been told I come across as stern looking on some pics, which is not really me, well unless I’m in Dom mode.

We all put the best pic up of the 10 - 100 we take. You want to represent yourself but you also don’t want to veer to far away from what you are like as you still need to meet people and not shock them!

Our profile is an honest reflection of us.

We've met several people who have sent pictures from the archives on their laptops, one woman was 5 stone heavier and had developed a full blown beard, one guy had doubled his body weight and was recognisable only by imagining his eyes not squinting, age wise people have 100% been economic with the truth and wiped years off. Needless to say a coffee in, we make our polite excuses and do not meet them again.

We keep our profile honest and photos up to date so noone we meet is disappointed, I guess others either have a warped view of themselves and think they look the same as they did 10yrs ago or rely on the fact that you're there and anything will do. However we just see it as a waste of our time and quite frustrating.

I am honest.. I have even put a photo of my Wonky nipples and scarred breast in profile.

No point in hiding it as it is pretty obvious that my breasts are no longer equal size.

My pictures are dated so it is pretty easy to see the ravages of time from 2011 to now.

Would anyone admit to being dishonest in their profile description? Unlikely.

Verifications are often questioned but together with a number of pictures, they're probably the best guide to accuracy.

It's difficult for people who regularly meet to be deceitful, it's a small world.

I don't edit and I while I'm sympathetic to angles I don't try to be misleading.

It's hard to get a picture of someone when they say 6ft, brown hair, average build, blue eyes etc

I met a bloke (luckily just for a coffee) profile stated 48, profile picture looked 48 but was very obviously an old photo..

He confessed very quickly to being actually 58!

There is the whole perspective thing to take into account as well. They might honestly believe that they are hung, or good-looking or have a athletic figure. It doesn't mean that it would match another person's perspective of what those things are.

And it kinda works in the opposite as well.

People might feel they are average-looking, and to another person, might be absolutely stunning.

When it is complete untruth, then it's different, and sometimes I think that's why people end up ghosting or chickening out of meets, as they have built up rapport, might have actually got to like someone a little bit and they realise that when they meet them in person they will see that it has not been as honest a start it could have been.

My profile blurb and pics are all a good honest summary of me - of course they're not the whole me as you really would need War & Peace to cover all of it - there are elements of my sexuality and interests that I don't play up but that's because they're not over riding "needs" as far as this site goes, but the clues are there if you look for them, and I'm certainly happy to discuss as part of getting to know people through messaging.

As for pics, we all only pick the ones that show us in a good light, it's only natural, but again if you look through my pics you can get a fair idea of my whole body shape to the point you shouldn't be overly surprised when you meet me.

My belly is really saggy (due to huge weight loss) so I try to disguise it in my pics....but I do warn potential meets of this and have had no complaints about it, so maybe it's more my own insecurity than it is a real problem!

Other than that I'm open and honest about who I am, without being too "personally" open if you know what I mean?!

I changed the way I meet a few years ago after I met someone who assured me that he looks exactly like his profile but his webcam wouldn't work. When I met him he was very attractive and lovely, but did not look like it's profile, his pictures were quite a few years old we had changed somewhat.

Had he showed me who he really was I would have been happy to see him again, but as he told me he looks exactly like his pictures but was significantly not as described, I felt he had not been honest and therefor I wouldn't see him again.

He was quite annoyed about it.

I tend to go by photos and from talking with others, where I can ask what are pertinent questions, rather than reading from a sales catalogue, here or elsewhere.

It's reasonable to assume that many people have something about themselves that they are possibly embarrassed about or that they wish they didn't have: but it may mean nothing at all to someone who's meeting them for sex. Most of the things that we're bothered with about ourselves are trivial to others - if the photos haven't been re-touched, so all is on display, then I don't see that as a problem. I've added 3 or 4 pounds this year and lost it but was slightly uncomfortable about it.

Otherwise, I think some people do deceive themselves a little bit - including the guys in their 40's who'll refer to themselves as a lad etc.

I think your approach in conversations tend to help people be honest...

I tend to say to couples, I’m not looking for a super model. Just someone I find sexual attractive.

This tend to put people at ease and they will tell you any flaws they have . That you might be concerned about.
