Least it wasn't the other way round. You haven't turned the car on yet have you? You have called someone out to drain your fuel pump?

I know you can put a tiny bit of petrol in a diesel but not fill the tank with it.

It's in the garage, luckily I work at one, but I'm praying it's not fucked. I've only had it 3 months, I've had petrol cars for 28 years then got this diesel one.

Shit, the fuel pumps would have sucked it up as soon as you turned the ignition on. You got someone coming out?

I was having a bit of a fight at the pump the other day after I was pulling the hose over the car to reach the pump then it wouldn't go in, was calling it all the bastards before realising the hose was black, I'm petrol! Luckily the nozzle wouldn't fit!

as long as the engine hasnt started the engine will be fine.

its just a drain down of the tank and refill with the correct fuel in it.

if its been pumped through its a full drain down and this might affect your injectors.

putting diesel with petrol cars is more expensive

Doesn't it last a lot longer on the road before refueling

My bro drove from leeds to london and back again in diesel. Didnt refuel or need to.

Did the same with petrol had to refuel on way back. Same size engine and a much better vehicle

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I know someone that happened to, had to have fuel lines, injectors etc cleaned, cost him £1100

Was also terrified of this when I first had a diesel. To help remind me, I always referred to a petrol station as a diesel station, and even said out loud to myself "I need diesel" every time I drove in. (Really don't care if that's weird, it's not weird if its useful and makes you remember, and I'd rather that than lose £1000+, and I know commas aren't really supposed to be used inside brackets)...
