Not unless we start playing further up the field.

Too many players behind the ball since we lost salah.

Looks like following Salah's injury they sat back and focused more on playing defensive until half time. Hopefully Klopp will motivate them and work some magic for the second half

So what have we learned so far...

1. That what was shaping up to be an exciting CL final lost its sparkle when Salah got taken off injured.

2. That despite all their bluster Liverpool are a one-man team.

3. That the media are still premmature in trying to talk down Bale's career.

"26th of may will live in my heart, the night I watched Liverpool fell apart. "

They had their moments, but when Mo went off you could see them all shrink inside.

The fans knew the game was over, the team picked up on it.

Fair play to them getting to the final. They played some great stuff on the way.

Certainly did a lot better than my shower of shite.

I saw one of their fans saying "at least we didn't buy our way there"

Er, how much did you spend on Salah and Van Dyke?

I think it is less a case of a one man team than it relies on the chemistry of the front three. Any one of them is missing and the pace and fluidity of their game goes. They also rely heavily on Van Dijk and Robertson at the back to provide the extra solidity.

They need to good transfer window to strengthen all round and get a top class goalie in.

Keita and Fekir are a good start but buying Allison, another central defender and solving the reliance on the front three chemistry conundrum, are essential if they are going to step up.

I'm by no means or stretch of the imagination a Liverpool fan but they got there, they made the final.

Everyone knows Real Madrid are head and shoulders above anything else in Europe when it comes to Champions League competition.

4 times consecutive winners . . Can't top that one!

Not a Liverpool fan but love the way they play the game, felt really sorry for the keeper but did anyone notice at the final whistle no Liverpool player went to console him but a couple of Madrid players did.

I guess it was more difficult for them to feel compassion for him when they were dealing with their own feelings about losing than it is for those who have won who are in a much stronger state emotionally. The level of emotional intelligence needed to switch from your own feelings of devastation at losing to console someone who is feeling guilty for letting his team down, would be unusual in a team of football players

Difficult to consider the one man team claim when both Mane and Firmino scored 10 each in the CL this season, the latter also with more assists than Salah on 7..

The injury to Salah did affect the team and changed the balance of the game, expected more leadership shown by Henderson once Salah went off but the better team on the night won..

Getting there given they had to qualify initially was a bonus but the lack of strength in depth is evident especially in comparison to the likes of Real..

Game changing incident not accident

Ramos on Mo Salah

Spoilt the match

We were never really in it after that

But I think we should go after Gareth Bale

I think the experience will help them for the CL next season.

Plus it'll help highlight where the squad needs to strengthen....

They played more games on the way to the final too, I think they may have peaked to soon in the latter knockout games. Plus the loss against Romania would have taken a lot out of them.

Winning some of the earlier games by such high margins maybe made people think they were better than they are.....

Brilliant achievement getting to the final, got to applaud them for that.
