Why bother with forums when threads are closed after a couple of replies?

What is the point in posting/starting a thread when it just gets closed for no reason whatsoever? After all it is meant to be a forum. Some threads are literally a couple of hours old yet they are closed straight away with no explanation whatsoever even when rules haven’t been broken. What’s with that?

They're normally threads that are mentioning general problems with the site and the basic answer is to report the problem and that be that. Or they could be naming and shaming or doing anything that constit breaking the rules of them forum.

Like I have said some of the threads are not breaking any rules they just get closed.

There was an explanation. Don't take it personally, it is something Admin ask mods to do on certain things, give advice then close the thread.
