Done loads of risky things. Walked away from my whole life, house job everything with a 2 year old in tow due to a violent husband

And then end of last year left my job, home town partner, everything due to bereavement and being needed by my family.

Both times made me so much stronger as a person

Mine was probably while climbing with an old flame. We were in the Dolomites 200ish feet off the floor and I went past 2 rather rusty and dangerous looking pegs choosing not to clip my rope into them. 20 -30 ft higher with nowhere I could clip my rope into I came across the hardest section on the climb. A 20 deg leaning wall on match stick size holds.

I broken one as I climbed and started to fall. 60 ft later and hanging upside down my partner had held what was a 70ft fall.

Taught me never to climb past a place to clip your rope no mater how unsafe they look

Patrolling in Afghanistan probably tops them but there's been a few risky ones on racetracks in there too.

I work on oil rigs now, climbing heights in bad weather, involved in rescue teams and we fly to and from the rigs in choppers.

Life's a massive bloody risk when I think about it..... I can at least say I live.

Start at one end of a street and and the first person to make it to the other end of the street by jumping from one back garden to another was the winner, best done at night, usual obstacles included. Fish ponds, angry dogs, clothes lines, the odd patio set and green house. All done at speed. Oh how i loved my child hood without computer games

We used to do it all the time, mate cut his body in about 20 places when he crashed through a greenhouse, I fell in a fish pond and my big mate "tank" was the inspiration for that fence scene in the fuzz when he crashed through bushes etc without even trying to jump them.

Had a bit of a break for a few years and then I broke my ankle a few years ago by jumping a pub hedge but it was like the horse racing jump at the grand national at aintree with a 12 foot drop the other side.

Used to do a variation of that as a student, usually d*unk, get home via back gardens.

The added twist was this was Belfast in the 80s

Upping sticks amd startING a new life in London 10 years ago having burnt enough bridges to ensure going back was not an option.

Or trekking in Thailand and crossing a ravine on a flimsy bamboo bridge. It was wide. And it was deep. The fall probably wouldn't have killed me but being in a jungle with no mobile signal would have made for an agonising demise. That was scary...

Many such stupid adventures in pursuit of thrills.

Climbing on ben Nevis, climbing alpine with buddy far too slow. Unclipped, free climbing, cornice further up broke..got hit by massive slab of snow/ice plucked me off ice wall..fell x ft with snow, landing hard..end up in avalanche...fell down side of mountain with it...struggling to keep afloat. Had crampons on and axes in hands, some how the axe had sliced across my jacket front, my crampons had gone into my leg.

Cut long story short come out alright ha

Or getting mugged in Italy by two guys with kitchen knives, putting up a fight, getting stabbed, chasing after them, through the city for ages, before they met with others they knew and the chase was back on against me.

Ha life has been full of dangers, but scraped through just ha

Being 21, four months pregnant and having my ex raise a hand to me. It was the first and last time someone has done that. I had nowhere to go, but i didnt care. I walked away and never looked back

Lots of ex or current climbers on here have seen over the years. Sure is a female who's climbed all over world.

Never did dolomites

Did Alps many years regularly

Mainly Italy/Switzerland but sometimes into France.

Scottish mountains my home from about 13 was walking solo in winter...lots of regular play grounds in mountains.

Was a childhood dream and one well into adult hood too climb k2, summit it.

Had one chance in life, would have been making of me in climbing world guess.

Was climbing in Canada, solo on a big wall, was a guy and his Mrs doing route near by. We got talking. They was training for k2. So Daniel was putting on this private summit team attempt and he just asked would I be part of the team.

Climbed with him few times during my holiday... left Canada with a big pack of info on the trip and other team members etc

Worked for major outdoor company at time, so already had tnf expedition suit, down suit, loads of kit.

What I needed was £9k towards mountain fees and other group costs, about another £3k for everything else, plus loads of either free equipment needed to beg, borrow or steal.

So had three months to raise the 12k roughly.

Was 24,would have been the youngest person to try back then and certainly the youngest too summit..well that's if I'd been successful.

I know I would have been but alas I could not raise the money, got just over 6k. Daniel made it 7 for me as wanted me on team, but was not enough.

Could never do it now, not good enough, and if did guess be the death of me.

Did you ever have a big mountain you wished to climb but never did?

Some thing's we think are impossible sometimes make us stronger, we just dont realise it at the time, its amazing what the human body and mind can cope with, we just adapt and move forward

The difficult tasks in life we just get on with. The impossible tasks just take a little longer

Being the chief witness in an attempted murder trial...i was "warned" not to...had to change my name, move 100's of miles away, and have lived in witness protection for over 20 years now...wasnt gonna let the fkers win and intimidate me. So yea, that was a tad risky.

Heard recently her next partner has lodged a formal complaint with the police for domestic abuse.

I was just glad to be away from the situation.

Thank you, it’s been long and hard and legal battles that need not have happened which cost a fortune.

But yes now getting back on feet, good job, new none shared house and lots of time with my son.

Hope your still doing well
