Lately not just on here im seeing “lol” end on lots of questions and statements

Is this the new get out clause

I must admit, I'm terrible for doing it... I do make a conscious effort not to use it as it actually irritates me... I juat can't stop..... Lol!

I had to stop using “lol” a few years ago...

Especially when I realised how irritating it was...

LOL & PMSL are the most irritating, over-used abbreviations on the whole of the internet...

I use it all the time. My messages are very blunt otherwise. I'm going to stop using it and see what happens x
