"Is humanity heading in the right or wrong direction do you think? I think about in particular the advent and commonplace of social media, the digital landscape is irrevocably changing us.. the interconnection we all have now is part of the fabric of a worldwide free speech social society. But not without its pitfalls, such as the non-personability of a text or dangerous viral propaganda.. *Ponder on.. " Shut up and kiss me.... lol

"It looks to me like obesity, diabetes and a sedentary lifestyle will kill us all eventually. I was reading earlier how the Mediterranean diet is no longer a thing in the places it started. Sweden now has more of a Mediterranean diet than the Mediterranean themselves. 45% of children in Cyprus are now considered obese."

It's interesting though that due to medical advances we're still living longer despite obesity etc. Will life expectancy decline as obesity becomes more widespread or will the medical profession develop ways to deal with it?

Good question. I think it will all come down to money, in the end. One country (I can't remember which) was doing something to combat child obesity, but it didn't say what. The games console epidemic amongst boys is partly to blame maybe. Adults spend time sitting in front of computers and then go home to stare at a television while they eat processed food. It's a lifestyle we need to change.

Well I think given the medical advances, alot of people are now using that time living far more unhealthy leading to increased chronic heart disease, liver damage etc. But I think we living linger due to the Offset of decline in what was other very large scale transferable diseases through education and science progression.

That's why I think we're directionless and merely react to outside influences.

" Transplants/dialysis and long term medication have all advanced significantly, but will the funding always be there with more people accessing treatment. Our Government had the Sport for All campaign in schools and free swimming for children, a few years ago. That all got knocked on the head through lack of money.

"Hasn't it always been shit? People dying of the plague. People walking miles for water. People posting their dinner online. " Pretty much. Humans tend to think that as a species we're more important than and superior to other species. It comes as a horrible shock when we realise we aren't.

"We may be living longer but think we're regressing intellectually. The ease of technology is rotting our brains instead of enhancing them. And young people are increasingly vain and narcissistic, photographing and documenting everything rather than living in the moment. Relishing that dopamine hit from someone liking their pictures rather than nurturing their soul. I dunno. We're all fucked. Let's have an orgy " for the orgy.
