There are only a limited amount of clothing styles out there. Regardless of what you wear some celeb somewhere in the world will be wearing something similar. They are just clothes.

Yes I think you're right. I've got a Diana wedding dress in the loft, I was obsessed!!

I just asked my son what he thought of Meghans dress, he said 'it's a bit dead', I'm not 100% but I don't think that's a good thing

Not really, because experts will dress someone to compliment their appearance, shape, colour etc.. so unless you closely resemble the wearer it's irrelevant.
