How do you wind down and de-stress when life is being a damn pain in the arse?

I find wine and chocolate helps but sooooo unhealthy, sex also helps, a lot, but it's not always available when I need it.

I go to the gym and take pleasure in the fact that I last longer on the treadmill than the average 70yr old in there.... Failing that, an episode of the original top gear cheers me up

* long shower or bath

* Music (as loud as possible without offending anyone on the street)

* Lose myself in a book or film

* Wine

* Sex (although like the OP, not always available when needed)

Having suffered from stress for many years, I've gotten used to managing it

Drive/fwb... Whether it's a roadtrip, or driving late at night with my fwb, chatting shit about everything and nothing.

That's my headspace, lost in the road or lost in my boy

Well when you do he’s gonna reap the benefits of far healthier solutions than I’ve come up with! You’re a catch

If i’m unbearably stressed then i have to have a good cry. I usually feel calmer after that and it helps me sleep, and then the next morning things look more in perspective.

If i’m just in a fucked off mood or a little bit down, then a walk helps.

I can also heartily recommend the concept of the Solo Sitting Room Disco for a good de-stress. Close the curtains, put on your best boogie tunes and damn well dance the night away. Most liberating.
