Just realised I booked a return flight from HK a day early, as I failed to recognise the day/date change when I selected a flight with departure time of 01:05h!!!

I seldom make mistakes when arranging my travel itineraries, however, when I do, it tends to be BIG mistakes.

Hey ho, may have to cough up the difference in price if they allow me to change the flight.

Otherwise I shall return a day early.

Nevermind.

Must be more careful in two years' time when I shall go out there again.

Has anyone made similar mistakes?

As a young man of 21 I had a flight to Germany, fer crimbo...

I had a skinful with the boys before hand...

I turned up at the airport, and couldn`t work out how to check in, despite asking...

I fell asleep and avoided the issue..upon waking I waited till the boarding message, and walked down the long corridor, after passing thru passport control...

Couldn`t help notice the slips most peeps were carrying alongside their passport , ticket gumph..

Anyhows at the end of the corridor was a couple of stewardesses collecting said clips, with wide smiles....

It came to my turn...I was in a mind to charm the gals with my badinadge...

Upon which I was picked up, thrown against a wall, two airport security guys, pistols drawn...yelling at me to deck it...I erm...decked it...

Mayhem ensued, eventually after a short postmortem...with the promise that heads will roll..I had unwittingly broken airport security...the captain allowed me on the plane....

I shared two seats with a couple of stewardesses....

I arrived in Germany...considerably more sober..

I once caught a ferry...a day early...got drinking with some French Navy matelots, and missed my rendevous with a maiden....by two days...

Curiously, she didn`t see the funny side...

Happy memories of Big Wave beach, Stonecutters Island...less favourable memories of the Walled City tho...freaking scary..

little house on the praire

Someone who shall remain nameless (Jay) booked our train tickets for somewhere for the wrong day but think only had to pay a bit extra. He was so angry with himself as he too rarely makes mistakes

The last travel-related mistake before this incident was back in 2005.

My late partner and I drove from south of Italy with the aim to stay at a hotel on the French side of the Alps overnight.

The journey took a lot longer than expected due to road works en-route.

We ended up crossing the Alps at night and missed all the scenery.

When we got to the location of the hotel according to my sat nav at the time, it took us ages in order to find it.

We eventually arrived at the hotel after 01:00h, totally exhausted, and in foul moods, having been on the road since 08:30h, to be informed we were at the wrong hotel, and that we had booked into a hotel along the motorway a few miles away!!!

I made the mistake of selecting the wrong hotel on the sat nav without checking its address! DOH!!!

Luckily, the hotel was not full, and we were able to stay for the night without having to travel to the other hotel.
