We use it if we're chatting to somebody but aren't sat together. Han had replied to a message but I wasn't too keen so just sent its a no from me to our inbox. It's quite a good tool if you're a couple. Saves coming out of fab and use another messaging app.

I discovered it on our old profile just by chance.
