Has anyone tried this and what do you drink it with?

Everyone at work keeps going on about it so I had to buy one for myself

I’ve never been a gin drinker but people say it’s very nice and fruity

What’s other opinions please

I prefer it with diet lemonade compared to tonic, lots of raspberries and a good deep gin glass. A double gin and top up with lemonade.

"What’s sloe gin???"

My Dad used to make it...

Berries in the hedgerow, plum, damsons, but the smallest one which are too bitter to eat are called sloes.

Pour a shed load of sloes into half a bottle of gin... Leave for a month or two... Drink.

More detailed recipes on the interweb

no matter

I had my first and only taste of pink gin age 11 at a school friends birthday. Most inappropriate from the family solicitor but back in '61 things were very different. I told Mum and she never took him to task over it people didn't make a fuss back then.

I would have been furious had it been my child.

I have only tasted gin over the last couple of years don't like it. Vodka my preference

"Gordon's sloe gin is a must try too. "

My home made Sloe gin is great I have damson vodka and blackberry brandy from last autumn too. We have a special hedgerow and get them every year.

Very simple just add sloe and sugar shake and hide in back of a cupboard

Pink gin is lush... i have it with Elderflower Tonic, tons of ice and enough strawberries, raspberries and blueberries to technically call it a fruit salad... ergo G&T is now a health food... hurrah!

I'm in agreement; I stopped drinking it when they reduced the ABV to 37.5% and maintained the price. There are far better gins.

Higher ABV allows more of the aromatics to be retained.

Traditional 'Pink Gin' is made simply by adding a dash of Angostura Bitters* to a mixing glass filled with ice, stirring for 20 seconds, tipping the ice into a fresh glass and adding a decent gin.

*Available in most supermarkets next to the more exotic spirits.

it's a nice refreshing tipple. People I know drink it with lemonade, for me tonic is better but it's personal taste. I like gin anyway, tanquarry ten is lovely.

I worked in a navy bar for a while and a pink gin was 3 drops of angosturra bitters, swirled round the glass and flicked out, then gin. Is this stuff the same thing?
