I've never achieved anything that great on a bike, but do rate the first time I rode the 3 peaks cyclo-cross in yorkshire (ingleborough, Whernside and Pen y Gent), that was mental as I had no idea what I was taking on and the conditions were extreme. Actually they are have been extreme the 4 times I've done it and the years I don't it's always glorious. I raced some time trials on the bike this year for the first time in a few years, on a cheap track bike with no aero kit and got within a few minutes of the winners, that was pleasing. (I realise non of that made sense to most of you!)

Not sure what Boho-J would say was hers, she competed in sailing in her teens to quite a high standard and ics very proud of that, also did her first Olympic distance triathlon this year.

Personally I am looking more and more to unusual events, as already mentioned there is the 3 peaks cross, Boho-J is doing an off road duathlon next month, I'm doing an off road half marathon next week and have got a couple of tough off road marathins pencilled in for next year, plus some duathlons and mtb enduro's. After a lifetime of it normal racing doesn;t really do that much for me anymore.

First time I ran in the 1500m annual championships at school, and wasn't the winner, but runner up, so was amazed as I wasn't feeling so well, so it was a personal achievement.

Got my life saver bronze medallion, as I'd always loved swimming too.

Other than that, whilst yoga's not competitive, I've enjoyed when I've demonstrated greater flexibility during classes.

Not sure if Darts counts as a sport ...but won a fair few trophies from when I used to play for a local team.

Sports in general have never been my strong point, was always the last one to be choosen at school.

Well I am not a sporting athlete and dislike most sports.

But my greatest sporting achievement was coming second from last in the obstactle race in senior school. My best friend came last as she got stuck in the net.
