Facebook privacy settings

I recommend anyone who uses facebook checking theirs. Had 2 friend suggestions of fab yesterday

Instagram is owned by Facebook now, so if you have a friend on Instagram, it would probably suggest them on Facebook as well

I know that but my facebook is set to private so they didn't receive one about me

I blocked someone on here, my phone, and WhatsApp but forgot about Facebook and up they popped in People You Might Know. I’ve tried to tighten up my privacy settings on there but they don’t make it easy.

I know, I was considering deleting it all together but too many memories

I got a random message on Facebook messenger from a couple the other day. It was a close up face pic of them with the words "a close up for you" I have a sneaking feeling they may have found me after seeing my Badoo profile which is not a sexual profile x

Do you have their number in your phone and do you use the fb app? It uses your contacts to suggest friends.

I wouldn’t worry, just cos they pop up on your “people you may know” doesn’t mean you’ll pop up on theirs

I’ve added some people on KIK/WhatsApp before who have used their full name as a username. Not a great idea.....

If you have your number linked to FB and give it out on here all they need to do is search your number on FB. I didn't know this until someone called me by my real name.

Yeah he’s set up a new profile on fab and started messaging me before I blocked him, again. So I’m sure if he’d noticed me on Facebook he’d have let me know.

I chatted very briefly to a guy on here. No names mentioned, no phone numbers, nothing. He sent a face pic, I didn’t.

Next day I see a friend request on Facebook!! How can that happen?? I asked him but he never replied. That gave him access to my full name, where I work, who my relatives are!

I messaged admin to ask if they would look at the messsges and suggest how he could have found me, but not surprisingly I got no response,

I asked a friend of mine to look, he works in IT. He was convinced I hadn’t told the guy enough to find me or left any trail (no same pics on Facebook as Fab).

It’s never safe to assume no one will find you no matter how careful you are. He’s done nothing since but I guess he could
