I wasn't holding out much hope for this movie when in production but the more I see of it the more I think it looks like it's gonna be amazing. Any other star wars obsessed fans got an opinion?

After a shaky start to production it could be a goody. I reckon Donald Glover may steal the show though

I've seen a few trailers and I'm a bit meh about it, even my sci-fi addict son isn't bothered

I love the whole star wars franchise but I'm not a fan of them saying they plan on bringing out a new film every year, I'm worried that making new films that often will make people bored of them. You can have too much of a good thing

It's going to be good. More along the lines of Rogue One & less

'Disney-fied' as I call it, as the main Star Wars films have been recently.

To me the actor they got for Solo should have had oozed sex appeal and swagger. The actor they’ve got has as much sex appeal as a dried out prune and to my untrained eye, doesn’t look like a good actor.

Harsh. But if you’re going to mess about and make a film about one of the best Star Wars Characters of all time, at least do a proper job.

I’ll reserve further critique until i’ve watched it. But the trailer i saw was dissapointing.

I agree with the post above that Donald Glover might steal the show. If its half as good as rogue one I'll be happy.

Wasn’t too sure about it, not sure Alden Ehrenreich was the right actor to play Solo but filling Harrison Fords shoes was never going to be easy for anyone.

Donald Glover I reckon will steal the film as Lando.

I’ve found that the first watching of any of the new films I’m hyper critical, but the more I watch them the better they become!

Really didn’t like Rogue One when I first saw it but after watching it a few more times I’ve grown to like it.

Again, thought the casting with the main character was a bit misplaced, Felicity Jones was a little bit too ‘jolly hockey sticks, ladies finishing school’ to supposedly be this streetwise, edgy, rebel type character!

Collider were saying that is a good film not a great one.

I watched the non spoiler review, and they said there were parts that were a little clunky but there parts that were amazing esp set peices and Han/Chewie relationship. Landon is very good

Anyway it’s a Star Wars film so I will go and see it

That was my reaction. Bit too Keira Knightly for my liking. Although she did do a good job admittedly.
