anyone waiting on their childs a level results like i am today??

my daughter gets her results today and depending on what she gets, is to whether she gets her placement at university of her choice.

she has always been a bright kid, got alevel maths grade A at 15. but in the last year she has got herself a boyfriend so she has been very very distracted (think she may have got a grade A in boys)...ooophs....fingers crossed huh!!!

Well am sure with my daughter whatever the outcome, she will still be out with her friends celebrating in town. Yes it will be bedlam everywhere today and tonight.

Well she got her results. A Politics A Business Studies, B English C Hispanic Studies. So she got the grades to get in the university. However her boyfriend didnt.

So am very proud of her

well thanks everyone for their good wishes. her aspiration is to be a teacher, and wants to be the first female teacher at her school who has also been a pupil. her school is 300 years old and has always been an all boys school. started off as a boarding school then became a grammar school. she was one of the first 50 girls to get in when they opened the doors to females. so most of the teachers and headmasters have been "old boys" who have previously been pupils. so it looks like she is on her way to achieve her dream.

whereas "mommy dearest" can begin to start achieving her dream now...lol

One lass on the news got 10 A's and was still rejected by Oxford. Siren knows someone who also did extremely well and was rejected by Cambridge - it seems if your face don't fit, they don't want you. Funny how the toffs ALWAYS get into Eton regardless of how they do academically.
