I agree.. I can usually tell from about 20 yards if I am about to speak to a positive, upbeat happy person.

Their ability (or lack of) to look you directly in the eye on introduction, speaks volumes to me.

Mine was Norman Wisdom at the age of 5.

Ooops! Oh yes, I see what you mean lol.

How someone carries themselves and the way they look at you first off can speak volumes.

After a disastrous weekend, I'll be altering what first impressions I take from someone.

How they react to meeting me and the warmth of a smile is all important.

As the mum of someone on the Autistic spectrum just pointing out it can be very hard to look someone in the eyes for some.

For me,its how they carry themselves,a mixture of aura and body language.

I can see where your comming from, however on first impressions I sometimes find it difficult to seperate confidence and "cockyness".

Well, that would make one of you funny! You can then sell the concept to Brucie himself! Perhaps he'd be funny for once!

Of course, a reply to the op!

No set formula. Can't say what we look at or for, but we do know when we find it! I think people over analyse all this stuff anyway. There are so many diverse people and to have just the one formula would rather limit choices.

We have seen pictures of people we have never intended to meet, but on a social meeting have changed our opinion! Sometimes it is their confidence and other times, shyness! Perhaps looks one time and style of dress another..

Nah! Just take it as it comes...

For me my first impression is based upon how they present themself.

Someone who is quietly confident and holds their head up high is so attractive to me.

If I am at work and inter_iewing then this is so true, followed by their handshake (hate limp, warm and damp) followed by the state of their shoes.

If its a lady then its normally, hair, eyes, teeth, figure and as they walk pass, totally ignoring my existence then its a look at their bum
