It’s like that for World Cup in Russia. Hotel tommorow is 35 quid I am staying 135.

At beginning of season I had booked 2 nights in Kiev for 100 quid give or take in case united got there

Stockholm last year I couldn’t get a hotel room less than 250 and flight prices were similar if not more

If the shoe was on the other foot then I doubt Liverpool fans would be applauding Man Utd or chelsea or whoever. Rivalry is part of the game, I don’t care what happens with Liverpool, only the affect it has on my team. To think other supporters are going to be positive when you win in a tad unrealistic. If u love all teams then you are not a proper football supporter

You can't justify being taught to hate other people who just happen to support a different team by trying to quantify what type of supporter you are..

It's not logical or behavior anyone should try to justify..

What stopped us getting eaten by dinosaurs was that most of them - the dinosaurs - were vegetarian. Apart from T-Rex obviously. What stopped us getting eaten by them was shared learning and experience. The 'Oh fuck. That one's not a veggy. Give it a wide berth' experience which was passed from Cave Daddy and Cave Mummy to Cave Baby. Learned, acquired behaviour. I wasn't taught to hate Man Utd. I wasn't told that if I wanted to support Liverpool I had to hate Man Utd supporters. Therefore, I've never hated them. God knows, the team and the supporters annoy me sometimes. But hate......??

Do u lot really take everything that’s said so figuratively? I think you all understand what I said and why. Football is tribal, it has history and feeling. Sure you can sit in a box and eat a decent carvery, or sit at home watching the odd game on sky. There is a vast difference between this and people who are heavily invested in a team, whether that’s financially or emotionally.

I don’t hate Liverpool, but did I want to see them win last night? Hell no, I would have found it amusing had they lost. I don’t particularly like Roma, but I don’t buy into a concept that says I should support a British team against a foreign team. After all, they have a German manager and all of their better players are not British.

It’s a global game, I respect Liverpool, they are a good team and offensively are hard to live with at the mo, but I don’t want them to win, as I’m sure their supporters wouldn’t want to see my team win, I understand and respect that. Come on Madrid! Lol

Variety is the spice of life I guess, it’s up to the person to work out if they are usual or unusual, but then who wants to be ‘one of the tin’ as a famous Portuguese man once said

"Well done reds. So many bitter and jealous fans on here! #YNWA

Thats because we are not liverpool fans? Or did you not think of that, and also im a man utd fan do you really really expect me to want liverpool to win.....get real

Same here , supported Man Utd since I was six , and can’t bloody stand Liverpool

I am well known with my circle of friends for my hatred. Even through England, the Liverpoolads know i hate them and they hate us.

I am not bitter or jealous of Liverpool, why should I be. United played dog shit against Seville home and away and we shouldn’t be in the final.

What I will say I will be be wearing my Madrid shirt with pride

I'm a Liverpool supporter. I don't have and wouldn't wear any other team's shirt."

too true! But thats mancs for you. Even roy Keane thought they were wankers!

Well actually I collect football shirts and have a few Madrid one from a few years back so will be wearing thatS.

What makes me laugh is that would Liverpool fans support Man Utd or Everton, would Leeds support shef Wednesday or Man Utd

They wouldn’t but because it is the Liverpool love in, everyone throws toys up in the air when I say I hate them.

Maybe we should start a hate in?

Who do u hate?

Personally I hate Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man Utd, West Ham and Carlisle (don’t ask)! Plus 2 former employers and about half a dozen ex girlfriends. I feel better for that

Are Leeds not too irrelevant to hate these days? A bit like QPR?

My dad hates your dad so i cant like you. And you wonder why hooliganism is on the rise grow up appreciate the sport and applaud a team that's doing well. Contrary to shankly's statement, football is not more serious than life or death. Enjoy life whilst you can, it's too short for anger."

Ha ha ! Did you tell me to grow up?

Wow it's been many a long year since that happened...priceless

Back from Rome, fucking brilliant time, locals are sound, they need to fix some of the buildings as they’re falling apart but if you’ve not been deffo recommend it

Anyway flights and hotel sorted for Kyiv, just seeing it as another part of my world adventure as I’d have never gone there otherwise

"One of the first things you learn when you become a proper supporter of a team (not a fan) is who u hate. It’s human nature at the end of the day and to deny basic human nature is naive "

Absolute shite. So because I don’t hate another team that doesn’t make me a proper supporter?

Tbh actually we haven’t put together 90 mins of decent football all year. 45 mins. I can last longer than the team

Sound. Rather put my energy into supporting my team than hating another. Get the not supporting etc but hate is a lot of effort

Still, European Cup final number 7 for me coming up, have to try harder to be a proper fan though
