Thing is OP it's not about luck - the only luck you have on this site is that which you make for yourself.

So maybe what you should do is take a look at what is affecting your chances and what you can do to improve them - sure it's tough as a single guy due to sheer balance of numbers, so you have to promote the best possible image of yourself that you can (through your profile and pictures etc) to at least try and address the balance a little.

It's also not ALL about what you want either and as much about what you can give. Set your expectations correctly and adopt the right positive approach and experience of the site is a lot more fulfilling
