After a while of being on this site I am finding myself tempted to go swingers club night or something similar out of curiosity.

My main worries mainly are seeing people I know in my work circle or friends of relatives!

If anyone can share some advice on how to find club events or some feed back from personal experience I'm greatful

Seeing someone you know may break the mould.... They obviousley don't find anything wrong with it,just cos you've seen them dosnt mean you have to sleep with them and probably best kept that way.... Everyone's got their demons.. It's normal... Just go for it.

Bear in mind to see you there then they must also be there and feel the same way you do.

This, they may even be pleased to see you.

Brighton - even Hove!

The chances are probably quite low about meeting a work colleague or friend and so what if you’re there? Go for it.

For eight years I have attend a local club (a 25 min drive away) regularly. I recently retired from the NHS, an organisation full of liberated people like us and not once have I encountered anyone I know.

If you do see anyone, a nod in their direction is all you need to do and if like a mate, you were just about to climb in the hot tub at Chams then spotted your sister in there, get dressed, go home

and then agree a plan for future visits.

We used to attend an organised social about an hours drive from home. A guy who lived in the next street (and is married, wife unaware ) turned up. We chatted if we saw him out alone but otherwise remained discreet.

OP I've bumped into friends and family at clubs and it's no big deal. Everyone values their privacy so we just don't discuss it outside of clubs.

The first time it happened to me I bumped into my sister and her husband, a couple of weeks later it was my uncle and his wife. I bumped into a friend this weekend.

If we do see each other at clubs we just choose to play in private areas rather than in open, public areas of the club. It doesn't curtail anyone's fun and prevents any embarrassment.

Seeing people you know can let you feel less alone and is an opportunity, almost certainly not a threat, as people like discretion generally
