Oooft that’s hard, ehm it’s quite strong and I guess you could say that it’s got a complex taste - it’s not wishy washy like some coffee granules. It certainly feels like you’re drinking lots of caffeine when you drink it.

Agree with others ..pod machine is rubbish. I have an integrated thing and just add beans and water. It does all the grinding blah blah. You can tweak it to get the strength you like. Works out at about 15p a cup

It's an incredibly expensive way to consume coffee for price and packaging waste Imo. Just consume in a way instead where you can buy any brand you fancy, rather than being locked in to a computer printer ink style version of paying through the nose that's avoidable.

Under the Duvet

I love filter coffee but can't be arsed with the faff of a machine.

I buy the individual filters. They sell them in Tesco and M and S definitely.

You pop them on top of your cup, and let the hot water filter through.

They sell different strengths and blends and make a very decent cup of coffee.

Nah you can't beat the freshness of freshly ground beans and the pressure of the machine pumping the coffee out is far better then a cafetiere. And a good milk steamer adds to the perfect cup

I dont like "real" or "fresh" coffee as they taste way to strong and make me gag as i find it smells of cigarettes which i dislike with a vengence.

We have a pod coffee machine which hubby uses most days. I love hot chocolate from it though. So specific coffee granules are what i prefer, lovely mild ones with no caffiene.

Delonghi do a really good range of machines..bean to cup or pod.

I’ve got both. They both have the milk jug attached for a frothy coffee. Great machines. Prefer the bean machine out of the two but the pods good too.

Nespresso will send you a bunch of recycling bags for the pods and there’s plenty of local places to drop them off. Mines the local newsagent.

Can't do instant. When my bean to cup went wrong I couldn't find the cafetiere so had to buy Azera! I had to put 2 teaspoons in just to get some sort of taste. Fortunately I then found my cafetiere so relieved until the machine came back. Now back on Tayler's Italian 4 times a day and the shakes have almost gone now!

Grumpy Mule Columbian is my next favourite bean.

We don’t drink instant.

Get yourself a decent Moka Pot and a milk pan. You can buy decent ground coffee from Aldi for a fraction the cost of illy

It takes about the same time to boil a kettle as it does to prepare a decent cup of coffee using the above and it is infinitely better!

"As virgin to coffee I’m on the search for a good one. "

To start out I would just get a cafetiere and go for a bag of medium strengh coffee (rated a 3 or a 4) most supermarkets do reasonable coffee. Its important to keep it in air tight container so the flavour dosnt oxidise. I keep mine in the freezer. If you get into coffee then you can look for a machine for a few hundred squid.
