Not a soccer fan,

Not English,

So maybe this is a more objective opinion, but they'd be mental to sell it.

£800m is only worth paying if he gets to move the Jacksonville Jaguars in, and the NFL will not put up with moving games (already in a poor time slot for Americans) for some England Friendly or Concert.

Sell the naming rights, keep that great stadium you got.

This stadium supposedly cost 1billion. Can someone explain how they think it good business to now sell it for 800m? That’s the worst investment in property I’ve ever heard of in my life.

stadium ended up costing 757 million....

the deal is technically 900 million ... but the fa also get to keep all the revenue from the club wembley seats and add ons which is worth about 300 million...

if it does go well they will in place that certain national events have to be kept there... also it means that england will go "on the road" for home football internationals played in the autumn.....

if it goes thru you can almost guarentee that the jacksonville jags will make the full time move to london (for nfl fans it will mean the jags would move the afc east, and the dolphins move from the afc east to the afc south)

Sadly, I think grassroots football would end up only receiving a very small part of the money generated. I still liken the FA to being like FIFA but on a smaller scale

I hate the new Wembley...it went over budget and over time and they ended up with a soul- less ugly looking place with an ‘arch’ as it’s main feature!

‘Club Wembley’ is that the middle section of the ground that’s always empty for about 10 mins after teams kick off for the second half?

The FA also sold the soul of the FA cup by staging the semi finals there but I guess that was necessary to try and claw back the ridiculous amount they spent in the first place ...

They should snatch his hand off, pay back the public purse and take the show on the road.

I do tend to agree with you on that, too much back scratching going on at the top... Perhaps it's time to get a female top executive in place who has no ties to any clubs and who will be able to cast an objective eye over what needs to be done to make the FA into a truly world class organisation from ground up

Agree on all that. Would love to see Just the FA Cup and League Cup finals played there, plus 2 group matches in the World Cup and the European championships. The smaller nations matches seldom sell out, so give those matches to club grounds that will sell out the grounds and have a better atmosphere. The FA Cup semis should go to neutral grounds on a 45-45% split for fans the other 10% going to neutral fans via good causes.

We are one of the members of IFAB, who help sets the rules of football. And yet we want to get rid of our home?

Grass roots football - surely they can strike a deal with all the tv companies to put some money that way.

Let’s not forget Wembley was built with a fair chunk of taxpayers money (you and me) and it cost in excess of 700 million to build with the cost going up from the original budget.

I think the Fa shouldn’t sell we seem to sell everything in this country of any national importance

Just look at the QE2 now a floating hotel in Dubai. Why do we have to sell our history all the time........MONEY TALKS that’s for sure

I like the prospect of the FA cup semi finals going back to being staged at neutral stadiums again as the going to Wembley lost its magic.

Also seeing england playing around different parts of the country too is great, rather than making the journey to London everytime.

But as the public funded the stadium from tax payers money be interesting if the FA will keep the promise and reinvest at grass roots.

So from a football fans perspective I'm all for it.

I am mixed

I don’t think it should be sold. Wembley is Wembley, home of English football. It should be kept in England

However I agree it’s a soulless crap hole, that’s depressing. I have had the luck of attending all the England games there, and a couple of cup finals and i must say it does improve for the cup finals than the internationals

I am a traditionalist that the semi finals should be at neutral ground and the fa cup final should be at 3pm on last Saturday of the season.

I can understand that the money given back to the fa will be used to fund grass routes football. I am for that but don’t think it should go to a foreign investor
