Has anyone ever sent an old phone to one of these places? If not what do you do with your old phones?

i've used mazuma twice, and i have to say how impressed i was with the speed and efficiency. don't know what they do with the handsets but would certainly recommend them.

I used Mazuma as well.

Just make sure your phone is working and has all the bits.

Fast and easy.

"Charity shops take phones, glasses and hearing aids"

But they won't give you 140 quid for your Galaxy S the way Mazuma and Envirophone do

And because I've finished with my 1yr old Galaxy S, that makes it an old mobile phone

Im not arguing the toss with you, i was talking in general. You where talking about one particular phone. If you want money for a phone then your obviously not going to take it to the charity shop are you.

I think they accept normal cosmetic wear but I don't think that they take them if they are physically broken and not working.

They also tell you to only send the phone, battery but not the charger or memory cards. I assume a new charger will be supplied to suit the country to which the phones are sent.

Try a phone recycling comparison website, that way you know u getting the best price.

Check if they send u a prepaid envelope, or if you have to pay.

I might try them tomorrow as someone said some old phones are worth a few quid.
