I’ve been a one woman snot factory all week; I’ve given up on piraton and have upgraded to wine! My eyes feel like someone has poured white pepper in them.

Harrumph.

Atchoo.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

I used to wear a surgical face mask at home, it doesn't look particularly good but it helps reduce the amount of pollen you inhale and it was the only way I could sleep at night without waking with a sore throat..

Fortunately my hayfever has subsided a little over the years so the pack of surgical masks is slightly surplus to requirements now.

I second this - it worked for me. I only get mild symptoms now because I have a teaspoon of local honey daily. It took about 6-12 months to desensitise myself to the pollen properly so I had to keep up the antihistamines.

Preston.....ish

I feel you pain people, my hayfever hasn't reared it's ugly head just yet but I'm sure it's not very far away!

I usually end up with a combination of cetirizine tablets, beconase spray and eye drops. It's such a sexy look

In cave behind a waterfall on a hill

Try natural local honey....

It's organic and builds a natural resistance to local pollen...

Have had fairly severe hay fever for a good number of years.

I noticed when I started wearing glasses the symptoms improved as pollen grains were less likely to get into my eyes setting me off. Sure a simple non invasive way of improving your symptoms..

Then a few years ago I started buying honey from my local bee keeper, no point in the shop bought stuff, that generally contains honeý from China and eastern Europe.

Local honey has local pollen and C_inese honey has C_inese pollen. Not much use to you really...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's been bad this year. I'm taking one type at night and another in the day, putting Vaseline around my eyes and nose at night and still getting the sore, itchy throat.

It seems to get worse each year, along with my prickly heat rash.

Someone mentioned it before, wash your hair before bed, you'd be surprised how much it picks up during the day.

Tumble dry clothes, especially bed clothes as they gather pollen on the washing line.

Also of you can get a Dyson or similar air purifier for the bedroom. Run it during the day so the room is pollen free at night.

Don't open the windows if you can help it at all, keep that evil stuff outside..

Hope this helps.

Most local farmshops will stock honey from local suppliers.

Take 1 tbsp morning and night. Keep Windows closed and shower before bed to stop pollen transferring to your bedding.
