Garden renovation when our landscaper let us down a week before our hot tub was due to be delivered. We’d already removed the old dangerous decking.

New composite decking. Concrete slab for hot tub. Dug out and back filled 12 tonnes of soil for our patio (I had pneumonia at the time!) new pergola over hot tub, brick edging around entire garden, brick raised beds and finally we laid resin bonded gravel for the patio.

Hubby and I did it all ourselves with a little help and guidance for the tricky bits from his stepdad.

In total it took us a year to do it all as it was all done during our annual leave from work. We had the concrete slab laid in time for the hot tub installation and then did the decking for the planned party 2 days later.

Did my garden last year -completely changed from slabs to decking, built wooden planters, water feature, slated it built storage. All myself, and put in a new bathroom suite (obviously not in the garden

Just finished 1st complete renovation of what was a derelict house. The only things I didn't do were the plumbing and plastering. A mate supervised the re wire and connected the fuse box, ran relevant tests to provide a certificate. It looks good, learnt loads of new skills and, I feel like I have really achieved something.

Looking for the next one now.

Loads. Turned an airing cupboard into a wc.

Completely rebuilt my kitchen.

Same with bathroom. Rebuilt from floor up-including walls taken back to brick and ceiling down.

Currently doing a lot of smaller projects, mostly upcycling. Have recently built tables and a woodstore out of pallets.
