When someone you're chatting to with virtually no public pics, and no friends pics, asks to send you a friends request?

"Message deleted usually.

If I've enjoyed the chat I'd suggest a face pic swap before becoming friends.

I wouldn't waste my time chatting with someone with no face pics and if they won't send them would delete before they had a chance to ask to be friends. I now won't accept friends requests unless we've met in person, too many pic collectors and timewasters

If they haven't sent pics and there's no prospect of meeting - message deleted.

If a meet is being discussed I will request face pics.

I never add to Friends before meeting.

We usually say we don't accept friend requests unless we're likely to meet. If we seem to be getting along well we'd add that we won't consider meeting unless we know what they look like.

I'm talking about a scenario where I've seen maybe a couple of face pics sent privately (the computer screenshot kind) but no body pics, and there's nothing on the profile, no friends gallery, and they're asking me to add them and see all the rest of my pics without me seeing anything really

It just feels a bit, I dunno, unequal when that happens - is it just me? I don't think they're a picture collector or anything, I just feel that it shouldn't be a one way exchange.

Brighton - even Hove!

A bit of give and take in all things. There wouldn’t be an incentive for me to accept someone as a friend if they didn’t have any friends photos.

If I’m chatting to them (and enjoying that) I’d just discuss this with them too. It may spur them to add or share more pics with goodwill or say they don’t really have any - in which case it’s fair to say that I’m not really inclined to share mine at this point, but I’d be happy to if we progressed to meeting and all went well, but that it’s just a little uneven and there’s no real need to be “friends” on here other than to share pics. If that’s not acceptable to them then they’ve kinda just told you a lot about them as a person, all useful.

Yeah, they did - they blocked me for refusing their friend request lol!

I have refused a few times for that reason, I don't think I'm being unreasonable - and if those people lose interest at that point it kind of proves my point. It just doesn't 'feel' right.

I don't accept until I've met them in person or had a video call. For all I know it could be an ex or something

I assume they want access to my friends only pics so I tell them there is nothing for them to wank over.

Bingo!!

I genuinely think you wouldn’t have the gut reaction to pause if there wasn’t other probably unconscious cues you’d picked up too.

There isn't really much point in the friend thing other than to see pics - you can keep track of people on hotlist if you want.

I'd tell them there'd be no point as my friends pics are no more explicit than my public pics!

Ps I can't believe he blocked you tbh but it saves wasting any more time.

Well exactly - the kind of reaction I would expect from someone I would want to meet is 'Oh, Ok, no problem!' or 'Oh I see your point - I really ought to find a few pics to upload' haha!

Mind you, maybe the kind of guy I want to meet has the wit to load enough bloody public pics in the first place.....

Slough Windsor ish

We would assure them we have no naughty pics to show and if they want to see our faces just send theirs and ours will be returned.

Id suggest they hotlist us if they are that keen to keep up with what we are up to... We only add people we have actually met to our friends list... our Updates are already a good half hour read as a result!
