Been reading the tragic fight that the parents of terminally ill Alfie at Alderhey are fighting to get additional treatment for their son but today I am appalled to read that protesters at the hospital where Alfie is currently on life support attempted to rush the entrance of the hospital.

The parents need to come out and publicly condemn these actions. All those protesting at the hospital need to remember that Alfie is not the only child bring treated there. This is not the only family going through a traumatic time dealing with dushnos6and treatment at the specialist children's hospital.

Parents of other poorly children have already complained of bring intimidated and threatened when entering the hospital.

I'm not quite sure what they were hoping to achieve by this action to be honest. The story is in the news every day so it wasn't to raise awareness for it.

Shows they're not too bright, if they want to protest they should do so outside the court that made the judgement.

Agreed, it's appalling. As tragic a case as this is, there are many many more terminally ill children and their families inside the hospital, and to subject both them and the hospital staff - who work tirelessly to make their lives as comfortable as possible - to such intimidation and abuse is just disgusting.

Alfie's parents need to put a stop to this mob mentality now, and the police should remove all the protesters from the site

Same as the Charlie Gard case all over again.

Usual rent-a-mob lot exploiting a tragic situation.
