Alcohol and meets

Out of a dozen or so meets.... I've had 2 meets that didn't work out ,without getting into the details.

These 2 meets were the only meets that involved alcohol and I'll never meet anyone whoes been drinking again as a result.

I, Mrs M, never drink alcohol when going on a meet.

Usually its at a club anyway so just water, energy drinks or soft drinks.

We have seen many overly d*unk folk and its just off putting for us.

I've met long term friends on here for drinks before a meet. Never anything more than a pint or two.

If it's someone I'm going t meet first time or we are new, it's a no go- tea or coffee.

I've gone to someone's house to be greeted by someone smelling of alcohol, instant turn off.

I don't drink, so not a problem from my end.

If I turned up for a meet and they were clearly smashed I'd walk away.

One drink as a relaxer is one thing, fighting d*unk is something else.

I witnessed a couple at a club recently, both pissed, both loud mouthed gobshites, aggressive and spoiling the environment for everyone around them.

Reported to management and dealt with.

One of us is usually driving so won't drink at all. The other of one of us will have a couple of drinks if we fancy it. There's a huge difference between a couple of drinks and outright d*unk. If we go to party or someone's house we always take wine and have no problem with our hosts drinking a glass or two.

I drink on meets. Not excessively but for those few hours I'm not mom or wife, so damn right I make the most of it.

If someone doesn't want to meet me because of that, then all the best and move along and I'll find someone else to play with.
