Somedays it's because I can. But mostly because I like it.

Technically, surely we do everything other than eating basic food, breathing and reproducing ‘just because we can’.

Yup

And enjoy a nice Baileys with ice too, and a JD with a dash of ...

Perfect weather for sitting out in the garden with a nice drink or two, listening to some great music

All good here

There's a beer or ale for every occasion so it would be rude not to

Back in University, we once found a vending machine that dispensed 'Um Ognub' the same great tropical fruit drink, but with a different mix.

It was incredible. Like drinking in the nectar of the gods. Haven't seen it anywhere since, and if anyone offers me Um Bongo now, I just spit on them and run off crying.

What a fruit drink,

What a fruit drink.

Hiding in the shadows

I'll drink anything that has ABV% on the label.

Apart from Bacardi, vile stuff!

Food, drink and breathing is a necessity, reproducing is not.

Brighton - even Hove!

I have a bottle of real ale a week and a bottle of wine lasts about 2 weeks and my gin lasts all year.

I guess it is partly because I can, if it didn't exist I probably couldn't...

But mostly I drink because I must, and beer is nice.

Why?

I don't need alcohol to enjoy myself.

And I rather quite like to keep my liver for a few more years

Valid points, I guess some just need a vice, like smoking. I drink because it tastes too nice and very rarely get sick of it like other things.

I don't drink alcohol because I don't like the taste of it. Last alcoholic drink was in February, previous one was December 2016.
