Near Bristol

Have you tried Mindfulness?

If so, why, is it working and how did you get into it or learn the technique?

Happy swinging x

It’s got many different strings and I think anything that helps in a world that seems more cluttered and hectic than ever can be useful.

I have a number of stresses at the moment and some of the exercises that I’ve tried help. I don’t think any of it is rocket science - we’ve just lost touch a little with looking after ourselves

Brighton - even Hove!

I’ve done it and it took me ages to simply concentrate on me and my surroundings and then nothing.

A technique I use (similar to the monroe technique) to relax is to concentrate on each part of my body and then deliberately relax it.

It’s quite useful I suppose.

I was taught a muscle tensing and relaxing technique at a support group. Along with breathing exercises it does help.

I practice it and it’s brilliant. I can get very overwhelmed and anxious about things, but I learnt that doing 5 minutes in the morning, before turning phones on, and 10 at night to settle, really helps me feel relaxed. It’s definitely improved my quality of life.
