Boots for larger calves

So far we've tried boots from Amazon, JustFab & Missguided but they all have been too tight on H's calves, and we've had to return them all.

Any suggestions for online shops that have over the knee and/or thigh high boots, for women with a well muscled calf, that also have free or cheap returns, just in case they don't fit?

have you tried going for ones with laces up the back or side, or are they for everyday use?

Nothing worse than boots that don't fit. I find it hard to get boots that are not too big

Surely Evans would have suitable footwear x

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I used to get mine from Duo Boots. They've renamed themselves but I can't remember what they're called now. They do very thin calves all the way up to very chunky.

We're looking for play boots rather than everyday boots, as those can be got more easily on the high street.

Lace up could be worth investigation.

New Look used to do a wider fit boot and shoe range and high boots are very in and at the moment so try there?

Look in the cheap boutique shops. They have those ridiculously high ones that are basically just lace up.

I bought knee high boots from Outfit store, which also houses the Evans range. It was a few months back near Christmas but they had a few choices of both wide fit feet and curvy calf sizes.

Absolutely nothing to do with boots, but I refuse to buy any kind of footwear online, 99% of the time they end up getting sent back

Ya can't beat actually trying the shoe/boot of your choice on in the shop and coming out with something that actually fits

Simplyb all the way! I’ve got amazing boots from there and they come in standard, wide and extra wide fittings!

Simply Be, Evans, Duoboots all do wide calf fitting. I got a pair of heeled pvc knee highs from Evans once.

Also look for those made of stretchy materials on the calf.

Beware some of the lace up ones which have a zip at the side and aren't really lace ups.

Good luck and do post back if you find anywhere else other than ones listed here.

I must admit I've cut the elastic bit out of boots before now so they fit

Mine measure about 16.5" so I share your frustration.

I've had some good ones off eBay.

You need to measure your calf and ask for sizes, but can be worth the effort.

I also agree with suggestions already made, except the cheap boutique. They tend to be even more narrow than the standard 14".
