Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

What has made you take stock recently and get a better perspective on your first world problems?

Brighton - even Hove!

Having a car accident last year made me reassess my life for a few months. I appreciate life a little more when I think it could have been game over. Hurrah for fucking strongly built Mercedes!

"Work does. Every day. "

A lot of what I do does too... but it's easy to become inured to it and lose that perspective.

I'm about to spam all my friends as most live overseas or out in the shires. It's easy to lose touch.

I'm pleased it was a strong car. You'd be missed (and you've got all those books).

Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight

The amount of cash leaking from our bank into utilities coffers. Have saved about £75p/m in the last 36hrs can't help but think the 1st World has a great deal of out to screw you about it, despite what the majority of people want.

Dementia is really hard. Remember who he was and care for who he is now. Look after your mother. Good luck.

Watching someone close to us battle against cancer at the young age of 38! Made us realise just how trivial our problems and issues are and how fragile life is

Being in a car accident on Sunday, whilst we only sustained minor injuries, bruising and a bit of whiplash it could have been much worse, certainly makes you realise how life has the ability to change in the blink of an eye.

It's almost the founding of the first world. Fantastic savings, though. I switched energy supply to a social enterprise and have saved £11 a month. That's huge on the size of my bills (I don't use much).

It is fragile and yet we have to treat it as unbreakable or we'd do nothing.

I have a young relative holding on tonight.

It does. Which is why I find it so odd that people can be so judgemental about people in need, on here and elsewhere. None of us know what led to their need.

Fingers crossed as he's in one of the best hospitals in Japan as he's gone home for treatment.

I always think life is way too long to keep being miserable. It just makes it feel even longer.

Condolences on your loss.

If someone else dies he might get some lungs. It's not good for someone, whatever way it goes.

I am so sorry to read that. It's random and cruel. Love and look after each other.

Trauma and relief. Hold on to the positive from it.
