Morning routine

What’s the first thing you do when you come downstairs in the mornings

I usually switch the kettle on then put morning news on telly and put heating on

Sat having a coffee now awaiting your morning routines

Depends if it's a work day or not.

But mine this morning is wake son, climb back in bed for 15 mins and drink a glass of water, then head down stairs do do packed lunch. The coffee will wait until after school run.

On work days it's run round like crazy making sure everyone's up and racing out the door

I work from home so up at 7, cup of coffee , brush teeth etc start work at 7.45!

Make coffee and pint of water - get back into bed and read e mails, perv on Fab and then get ready for work.

Try to make breakfast but the cat insists I do hers first. Then cereal and orange juice to drink, I don’t have my first coffee until I get to work.

In between those last two things I get dressed, I find it’s easier than the resultant HR meeting of arriving at work in my jim-jams

Wake child up

Go downstairs

Put coffee machine on

Go back upstairs and drag covers off childs bed and spend the next 10 mins supervising him whilst he gets dressed..

Usually up at 5 something - come downstairs in the dark so as not to wake anyone, visit loo, switch PC on, work for around 1.5 hours - wipe down all kitchen surfaces with anti-bac (cats!!) - feed cats - put away last night's plates, pans etc - make daughter's packed lunch - wake daughter for school - get breakfast - back to work by 7.45ish ...

I have a leg condition so it takes a while to coax some life into them. Have shower exercise dogs. Drink smoothie and off to work we go.

Thank god the mornings are getting lighter.

check phone, turn kettle on from phone......turn radio news on.....make coffee and go back to bed to drink it while waking up slowly as the caffeine hits !

My husband gets up with the dogs at 6.10am, feeds them then let’s them out. I get up, shove my dressing gown on, go to the bathroom, wash my face, do my teeth etc, come back to bed and dread the day ahead. Start getting dressed, consider putting on makeup for a change then don’t, then I go into the living room, see my lovely dogs, get my handbag and then my husband drives me to work

Since I'm off I have no morning routine. I'm sad just thinking about next week . So thanks for reminding i have a job. Was quite enjoying acting like a dole doser

Up at 4:30 ..... check European markets.... gym for 2 hours , shower and get dressed at gym. Go to Starbucks have coffee and oatmeal in the office by 8 am
