Trolley Part Two

Please review thread Trolley Part One first.

As before, a runaway trolley is about to hit five people on its track. You are on a bridge overlooking the track. You know that you can stop the trolley and save the five people by putting something very heavy in front of it. As it happens, a very fat man is standing next to you. You only way to stop the trolley is to push him over the bridge and onto the track, killing him to save the lives of five others.

Should you proceed?

I'm too indecisive. I'd need more information and assurances. They'd probably be dead before I decided.

Any man or womans death diminishes me....so the fat man lives.

But so do those on the line.

Its easier to just shout them a warning if the trolley is far enough away for anyone to take action to stop it; then those on the line have time to avoid its impact
