This is one for the parents out there, we all know raising kids can be tough. Knowing what to do for the best. Wanting to protect them yet not wrap then in cotton wool.

I would just like to let you all know that restaurants are dangerous places. As much fun as the tables are to run around for your kiddywinkles, it's not really appropriate. I know, you'd never think it would you! They aren't actually playgrounds.

You know those plates that the waitresses are carrying... some of them are hot and very heavy. They also block the view of the floor, so if your precious angel darts out in front of a waitress/waiter whilst they are carrying numerous plates EXPECT A FUCKING ACCIDENT. Scalding, accidental stabbing (some plates have steak knives on them.... which are sharp, and heavy if they fall from the height of a plate being carried), or there's the weight of said member of waiting staff falling over the child and splatting on top of them with the plates and hot food too.

If a member of staff asks you politely to let them through please, fucking do it, don't shout at them that the refill machine it in a stupid place. This staff member is currently burning themselves in an attempt to get your food to you whilst it's still hot, because if not, you'll shout at them because your food isn't at a temperature you find acceptable.

Please don't let your kids mess with stuff. Would you want to eat off cutlery someone else's snotty bundle of joy had touched and mauled? Didn't think so.

Letting your kids chew food then spit it on the floor repeatedly really isn't very nice behaviour, most places have a dustpan and brush. We don't expect you to clear this spat out food, but just offering by asking for the dustpan makes a huge difference.

Staff aren't trying to be awkward or miserable, they're trying to keep your kids safe.

Remember - you are the parent, fucking behave like one.

Amen!!! I can’t abide kids running riot in a restaurant or cafe, sit the fuck down and if they can’t, take them to a fast food place that has iPads for them to zombie out on.

I used to work in a cafe and then spoons and yes the plates are fucking hot but you stand there chatting to me while I burn my fucking finger prints off!!

Amen, I’ve never let mine behave that way. My boys having special needs we’ve had to work hard to get them to be able to sit down and not run around but have always been complimented on their behaviour. No need for it x

Wank ain't it. Today was by far the worst day of the holidays so far. The kids at one table were shouting at each other so loudly and jumping around I couldn't even hear what the parent was trying to order. There were 3 other adults at the table and none of them said a word. I was so close to walking off and saying I'll come back when your kids start showing some respect. I didn't.

Oh it doesn't stop at restaurants Peach. Doctor's surgeries too...

Building blocks, you know the plastic ones covered in germs from kids coughing and puking over them ...it becomes a battle of who's child can build the highest.

Or in other cases the parents force them to sit and fucking play nicely when they're sick.

It's bloody dangerous and people don't think. Yet if there was an accident coz their kid was running riot the parents would be demanding the staff member was fired rather than taking responsibility.

Don't get me wrong, we have some wonderful families come in, some with special needs other without. But I do find that parents with kids with special needs are far more in control. Xx

I made a woman clear up the mess her kid had made with a Greggs sausage roll they had sneaked it to feed it upstairs out of sight. I went outside and very loudly told her to get back in and clean it up.

My mum works in a pub and since my daughter was newborn she's eaten in restaurants and knows how to behave but when she tells me about how she goes to wagamamas with her dad and how 'Daddy' lets me walk round the place asking customers if I can take their order cos he thinks it's cute whereas I'm screaming inside thinking nice one you dopey cunt undoing 8 years of hard work of teaching my daughter restaurant etiquette!!!

People simply don't realise the dangers. Not just the accidents that can happen, but you don't know the other diners. Most people at the moment know it's half term. How easy would it be in a busy restaurant/pub that's full of noisy kids, which also has lots of different seating areas, for someone to snatch a little one. It's terrifying

When my lad embarrassed me when we were out, I got him back big time. I walked behind him all the way to school skipping and singing and trying to hold his hand etc. If he could have been swallowed by a black hole that entire journey he would have...

I brought mine up correctly. Even when little they knew how to behave. How to ask nicely for things. Not to play with food and how to set cutlery when they were finished..

Result is a well rounded young adult who can be taken to any restaurant.

I love taking my 2 with me because they know how to behave and enjoy going to restaurants. However if they were little twats i would leave them at home.

Or those fucking things with the little things you can move around thin bits of metal and the constant noise that is makes, I was in there the other day and Ads son was playing with it and it was testing my fucking wits!!! All that fucking clonking about!!
