We need something to look forward too next year, we are looking at Portugal, Cape Verde, Turkey, Malta or ‘other’.

Anyone have any recommendations? Doesn’t have to be ‘swingers’ heaven or anything, just a nice relaxing beach holiday that’s hot, not many kids and reasonable in price.

We're going to Malta next Easter, I haven't been before but Fred has and enjoyed it, but not as much as other holiday destinations. Personally I like the Canary Islands. I'm looking at destinations for 2020 and think we'll go for Majorca, unless by some miracle I can save enough for Mauritius.

Portugal Turkey and Cape Verde have better beaches than Malta.

I like Portugal for its ease of getting to and getting about.

Turkey is probably better price wise and the food is lush. Some of the out of the way beaches are amazing.

Cape Verde you are a little limited in what you can do outside your resort.

I like Menorca. Pretty cheap, not as chavvy as the Canaries or parts of Spain.

Hire a car and go self catering..

Ads would love Mauritius he could see his friend, sadly it’s a bit too expensive for us. I’ve been to Malta before but never to experience a proper holiday, I went when I was 17 with my sister who was very boring so would be nice to go back and try nice food and drink!

Yes it's a bit too expensive for us too, likewise we have friends over there, think we'll do that when we only have to pay for 2!

I love going abroad, but the prices have gone up massively, I'm hoping as Tunisia comes back on to the market for holidays the prices for elsewhere will drop a little.

Cheap and hot... has to be Malta.

Go just before the summer holidays and it shouldn't be too busy.

Bonus is that the locals speak English and are the nicest people I've ever met.

Great if you like history too.
