Good nature

I think it's time I started being a complete bastard.

I seem to fall for sob stories as I can't stand to see someone hit rock bottom and struggle to climb back up.

But once again I have had someone take the piss of my good nature.

I lent someone some money, on the promise that they would pay me back first thing this morning, now they are ignoring texts and phone calls, I think I have mug written all over my face ;-(

You don't have to become a complete bastard to stop being taken in by sob stories. As a general rule a person on an internet swinging site asking for money is not genuine. It's also against site rules and needs reporting.

the amount doesn't really matter, it was enough to get them out of the shit, it's the principal
