My Conspiracy Theory.

As I sit here sipping my coffee, gazing out across the steely grey waters I can feel quite a strong draught. I can tell by the direction of the ripples on the river that the wind is blowing my way so,, why then are the three wind generator turbines that are facing me, turning so vigorously?

We've all been conned, these things create the wind rather than giving us all benefits from it. If they turned the damn things off, maybe summer would arrive.

(I just watched two boats sail across the path of these giant fans. They both wobbled a bit, that proves my theory, conclusively).

Just around the corner

It’s one of the more convincing theories I’ve heard lately. Perhaps a role as a government advisor beckons?

I have 3 points to make

1) Why on earth did I read nipples & not ripples when I first read it?

2) You're drinking coffee & not tea!

3) Sprouts generate much better wind

A agree with your conspiracy theory and have conclusive proof that you're correct. I drive past some that often aren't turning at all even in the strongest wind. It's aliens I tell ya.

1) There may well be nipples in the water but,in this cold, they will have become so brittle that they have snapped off their parent boobs and now I can't see them.

2) I like coffee (Ialso like tea but only at teatime).

3) Even through my powerful binoculars,I can't see a line of sprout fed, mooning scousers on the opposite bank and I can't detect any untoward aromas.

Those bl**dy fans are blowing on me,I'm convinced of it.

Very similar DNA yes but the one major difference is that Aliens have a better sense of humour

This is true although you never see Putin or ET in the same room and definitely never see either of them on the stand up circuit.

At lower levels wind swirls around as it hits various objects like trees, buildings, walls, cars and landscape.

At higher altitudes, not so much!.

Besides that the wind turbines themselves don't just freely spin round to face the nearest gust direction, they have a powered motor that aligns them so when you do get swirling winds they often do face the wrong direction, again they factor in this as much as possible with the blades designed to work at greater angles of reflection.

Apparently they fell out when ET tried to phone home and Putin blocked the line

Old Vlad (as no one calls him) is a right laff when you get a few vodkas down him and he starts with the tales of his KGB days.

I prefer your theory... there are far to many sperts in the world, ex or current, that can't agree on anything

They are all facing away from me now and the wind has died down. They are facing towards the two sports stadiums (stadia?) in the distance. maybe there's a game on and the fans are keeping everybody cool. That's very thoughtful of them.
